A Climate That Avoids Dissent
Hesitant to depart from the party establishment's culture demanding unity, the committee has continued under the Biden-Harris shadow throughout this past year. Making public an official autopsy could have demonstrated whether party leaders are interested to foster honest conversation about the missteps that enabled the former president to return to the White House. Yet, the committee is acting under the pretense that there are no lessons to glean from the tragic debacle of 2024.

- The Gaza Effect: The failure to adjust a stance regarding a ongoing war allegedly caused alienating many voters, especially with youth voters, Arab-Americans, and Muslim Americans.
- Losing Youth Allegiance: Extensive evidence shows a major drop-off of votes for the candidate from the youth electorate.
A Pattern Shunning Scrutiny
This refusal fits a recurring tendency of evading uncomfortable facts. It echoes a situation in which nearly all Democratic officeholder in Congress supported a sitting president's insistence on seeking another term right up until a catastrophic public debate performance led to a reversal.
At the same time, large majorities of Democratic voters were consistently telling researchers of their opposition to the incumbent to run again.
